The Retro Gentlemen's Agreement (RGA from hereon) provides an safe space to allow retro game lovers to play, archive and pass on their favorite games to next generations.

Remake/Remaster/Re-Releases often can be simply bought in stores, the real thing, the authentic experience of the original console is usually unavailable and sometimes, it isn't even known which company is holding the rights to this IP and/or simply has no interest to care about it.

Together, gamer and game company, prevent these games of getting lost and enable player to enjoy the authentic experience without all the graphics upgrades, without all the quality of live features, without an consumer friendly access to them.

The retro gaming community does _not_ want to harm the gaming industry. We do not want to cause any damage. We want to enjoy the games, protect them from getting lost and pass them on to the next generation.

The Community where this takes place does not only

The actual agreement is based on two pillars. The Gamer and the Game Company.

We, the retro gaming community, promise the following things

1. We are only emulating systems that are >=25 years old. Currently this means we emulate up until
   1. SEGA Dreamcast
   2. SONY PlayStation 2
   3. Nintendo Gamecube
   4. NEC PC-FX
   5. Windows 9.x
2. We only play/archive/host official published ROM that have been released for these consoles
   1. No Remakes/Remasters/Re-Releases, only the real thing
3. If an re-release can be bought, we buy/support it
4. We do not try to make the process of emulation too easy
   1. We do not create detailed step-by-step instructions intended for the average consumer
   2. We do not develop/support Hardware that comes with emulators/ROM pre-installed
   3. We do not develop/support Software that comes with emulators/ROM pre-installed
   4. We only provide support in form of Chatroom where people, actively, have to help each other
5. We are thankful and show our respect, that the game company enables us to enjoy these games in the boundaries of this agreement.

1. Retro gamer that follow this agreement, will not be legally pursued
2. Developer who develop emulators for the above mentioned systems will not be legally pursued
3. Archiver who archive ROM for the above mentioned systems will not be legally pursued
4. Online Platform distributing the above mentioned emulators and the ROM for these will not be legally pursued
